Humm CRM ("Humm", "we", "us") provides software that local service businesses ("businesses") use to manage customers, schedule jobs, send quotes and invoices, and text their customers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Who this applies to

  • Business users: owners and team members who sign up for and use Humm.
  • Their customers: people whose details a business keeps in Humm, or who receive texts, quotes or invoices from a business through Humm.

For customer information, the business decides what to collect and how to use it; Humm stores and processes it for them. Questions about a business's use of your information can go to that business or to us.

Information we collect

  • Account details: name, email address and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Business records entered by users: customer names, phone numbers, email and service addresses, notes, jobs, quotes, invoices, tasks and time records.
  • Text messages sent and received through Humm, with the phone numbers, times and delivery status.
  • Basic technical data needed to run the service, such as log-in sessions and error logs.

How we use information

  • To provide the service: show each business its own records, send its texts, quotes and invoices.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
  • To contact business users about their account.

We do not sell personal information.

Text messaging (SMS)

Businesses use Humm to text their customers about appointments, quotes, invoices and customer service. Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent are used only to send those messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Terms.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run Humm, and only as needed:

  • Supabase (database and log-in)
  • Vercel (web hosting)
  • Twilio (sending and receiving text messages)

We may also disclose information if required by law.

Keeping information safe

Each business's records are kept separate from every other business's, access is limited by role, and data is sent over encrypted connections.

How long we keep information

We keep information while a business uses Humm. A business can delete its records, or ask us to delete its account, at any time.

Your choices

  • Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts; reply START to receive them again.
  • Email us to ask for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it. We may need to check with the business that holds it.

Children

Humm is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
